Artist's Statement:
In Australia, the seeds of a banksia tree will not germinate until scorched with the heat of a fire. As a fireman, I have witnessed the destruction of vast areas caused by bush fires, but at the same time, I recognise their environmental value to trigger new growth. Mother nature always wins.
Biography (condensed):
A Fireman who dedicates his spare time to creating images of Australian fauna and flora. His works are intensely detailed etchings, prints and linocuts of Australia's natural heritage which also incorporate some Japanese influence. They are well appreciated by the Blue Mountains community and overseas visitors for their content and skill.
